Dr. Hanka specializes in family medicine with obstetrics in NW Wisconsin at Amery Hospital & Clinic. She  has a special interest in women's health and obstetrics, pediatric and adolescent medicine, Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy (OMT), office-based procedures, LGBTQ+ care and caring for those who are often marginalized in health care. She regularly practices OMT in the office and has pursued extra training in Fascial Distortion Model. Becoming a physician is her fourth career (after Environmental Education, YMCA camping and leadership and organizational leadership) and she's honored to serve her fellow Osteopathic Physician colleagues on the WAOPS board. She graduated from Waukesha Family Medicine Residency in 2023, attended Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine in Las Cruces, New Mexico in 2020. She speaks conversational Spanish, and loves spending time on her 40 acre property in NW Wisconsin, camping in her 25-ft Vintage Cruiser tailer, as well as baking, knitting, drinking good coffee and good wine. She's happy to be closer to friends and family now that she's back in the Midwest, after a decade living in Arizona and New Mexico.
