Michelle Brenner, D.O.Dr. Michelle Brenner is originally from Brookfield, Wisconsin. She went to the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she studied Biochemistry and Spanish. After that, she was a research technologist at the Blood Center of Wisconsin’s Blood Research Institute where she worked in the lab of Dr. Debra Newman. There she developed her love of platelet biology as she transitioned from basic science to translational/clinical research. During that time, she completed a first author paper and presented numerous posters at both local and international hematology research conferences. While working, she earned her master’s degree in clinical and translational science at the Medical College of Wisconsin. She earned her medical degree from Des Moines University and completed her residency training at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is currently a first-year fellow in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology/BMT at the Medical College of Wisconsin/Children’s Wisconsin. She has a passion for hematology and specifically platelet biology. In her free time, she likes to travel to see her family throughout the Midwest. |
